Last week I was super lucky enough to be given 50 Saviors of Uldum packs by Blizzard ANZ to give away to one lucky person. Never one to do things the easy way, I decided to copy the usual ‘like, follow + RT’ strat that these things usually entail on Twitter, but with a twist.
I also requested that competition hopefuls respond with one of my favourite stream promo methods, a good ol’ #SelloutSelfie.
The responses were as magical as you could have expected.

PS. You may be wondering why I went with this additional layer when the traditional like and follow competitions generated a lot more entries.
For me, it was all about the engagement. It was fun to see the creative ways people responded, and it struck up a few good conversations.
Oh, and it also instantly ruled out any giveaway bots. If I’m going to boost my followers with a cheeky giveaway, they may as well be actual humans 😉
